Legatum has announced a gift of $150,000 to the Ebola Crisis Fund, which aims to raise $1,000,000 in three months to fund community based projects to prevent the spread of the virus and alleviate the suffering of victims and their families.

The Ebola Virus continues to spread rapidly throughout West Africa with tens-of-thousands of people at risk. While there is no proven cure or vaccine, together we can significantly reduce its spread. Just a modest amount of funding provides critical hygiene equipment and enables education to increase awareness about the disease and encourage local communities to take precautions.

The Ebola Crisis Fund has identified pre-qualified community-based organisations in Sierre Leone and Liberia which have prevention projects ready to implement. All they need is funding.

The Fund has already mobilised $260,000, but we need your help to reach the target. If you would like to get involved please click on the button below to make your donation. Thank you for stepping up.
